Worzella & Sons
Plover, Wisconsin
Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin’s central sands, Worzella & Sons, Inc. has been growing quality potatoes and vegetables for more than 70 years. Starting with the patriarch of the family, Clarence Worzella, grew crops and sold vegetables door-to-door. In 1953, Clarence bought a 40 acre parcel in Plover, that has grown into a thriving 5,000+ acre operation, where generations of the Worzella family continue to build on a legacy of hard work, innovation, and a love for the land.
Today, Worzella & Sons focuses on 1,800 acres of fresh potatoes, bringing the best of Wisconsin’s soil to tables across the country. The family’s commitment to sustainable farming shines through in their modern techniques and adapting to changes in farming technology. Their potatoes go through a unique three-step cleaning and washing process, ensuring top quality from field to fork. The planting season kicks off in April, and by August, the harvest begins in full swing, continuing until the last spud is lifted from the earth.
