Carl Worley began growing potatoes in 1942 as a 4-H project. More than 65 years later, Carl’s legacy and passion for potato farming lives on in the next generation (and the one after that!).

Today Worley Family Farms is run by Bob & Gail Mattive, their two sons Grant and Reid and nephew Matthew Smartt.

Together they grow 2,000 acres of potatoes, manage an on-farm tissue culture lab and greenhouse, and operate their packaging facility, Hi-Land Potato Co.

Adopting new technologies in the field and at the shed allows the farm to be more efficient, reduce water use, improve soil health and grow healthier potatoes.
